Aerogel - used to catch stardust
Here are some interesting pictures of aerogel, which is a solid, but is 99.8% empty space. I think we have a connection to aerogel because of what I read in Nasa's Aerogel FAQ:

How is aerogel made?

Mixing four chemicals, which react to form a wet gel, similar to a gelatin dessert creates Aerogel. The gel is then dried in an autoclave, in essence a pressure cooker that applies pressure and heat.

Sounds mighty like JELL-O to me!! Imagine all the uses for this stuff!

Bad day for birdwatching. . .
I know this shouldn't be funny, except it seems like a scene from Monty Python or something. Birdwatchers from all over England convened in the hopes of seeing a rare American Robin (red breast) They were successful! But just as they were whispering "Jolly Good Show", a hawk swooped in and devoured the robin. Sorry old chap!
