Can't do without it!
Silly Putty. Do they still make it? Remember those little plastic eggs full of the flesh colored stuff that could copy a comic strip? I bet you would like to buy a 5 pound blob of it for your enjoyment. If so, here is the link for you! The Crayola Store.com: Viewing Silly Putty 5 lb. Original

Ah So!
Here is an absolutely wonderful link Meredith sent me harking back to our "pioneer" work with japanese art on the MAC around 1985 or whatever. Anyhow, these are Flash equivalents to woodcut prints, but are animated!
I like the 5th one on the menu of the lantern.
Or how about the rotating lighted lamp, 7th from the bottom. Reminds me of that strange lamp we found in the closet at 708 Montlieu Ave in High Point. Titled "Why you should never drink water". (Why can I remember this since 1st grade, but can't remember what I did yesterday?)"

Bathroom reading
I have been enjoying perusing the bathroom diaries, an odd collection of "best loo in the world" stories mixed with, of course, horrible tales of no toilet paper and worse. My favorite was nominated for the "Golden Plunger" award: the 3-D Gold Store in Hong Kong:

"The toilet bowls, wash basins, toilet brushes, toilet paper holders, mirror frames, wall-mounted chandeliers and even wall tiles and doors are all made of solid gold. Embedded in the floor at the entrance are gold bars and studding the ceiling are 6,200 diamonds, rubies, sapphires and pearls."

Another "Big Brother is Watching" Deal?
Want to know if your email you sent has been read, how long it sat in the inbox, and how long it was open for reading, Without the reader ever knowing it!, you are in luck.

It costs $50 a year from www.didyoureadit.com

Here is an article in the NY Times with their take on the Here is an article in the NY Times with their take on the technology.

The real deal is that the software embeds little graphic files called "web bugs" in the email that report back. Privacy groups are complaining, but it is legal, and you might have been the victim withough ever knowing it. But since it is similar to caller-ID, it might not be as big a threat as it first seems to be.
