Specialized Memorabilia
I am always interested in a little nostalgia and all that, but you might think this is a bit too specialized. I do like the Vac-u-Mobile, though.

puzzling photos
Leah sent me this link called puzzlephotos that has wonderful pictures of unusual objects, clearly the photography professional quality, and the objects were not acquired quickly or casually, but collected over a long period of obsession. The site is a quiz format, begging comments to identify the things before providing the answers. The style is amusing, sometimes linking to outside links to reveal answers. One example is a shunken quarter, and to my amazement, there is a company and a machine that does this stange task. If you want to see some great and interesting photos of a cecropia moth, check this one post blog by the same author,

This puzzle thing does seem like something I would do, but I only have a few things to put in my gallery, like the still unidentified whatsit that I blogged in May of 2002.

Let it Snow
Here are some neat photos of snow, as seen under an electron microscope. It's interesting how they look like they are made of computer chips.

Segways Cross the Continent
"They didn't come in secondhand cars like Jack Kerouac or motorcycles like Che Guevara. These 20-somethings dissatisfied with their soul-numbing West Coast office jobs criss-crossed the country aboard big-wheeled, battery-powered Segway scooters."
